Frequently asked questions

All Female dancers must wear a leotard and convertible or stirrup tights for every class. Shorts, skirts, leg warmers, etc, are optional. Male dancers must wear black sweats or shorts, and a tank top or tight t-shirt. NO PLAY CLOTHES! 

 Because dancers are in school when we have dance class, all dancers need to wear black leggings and a tight shirt. 

Although we appreciate how excited everyone is to see their child at dance, please  understand that we cannot allow classroom visits. The safety and well-being of all  students is a priority and I expect this rule to be followed. Parents/guardians, take  this moment to enjoy the free time. Run to the food store, read in the parking lot or  grab a cup of coffee. Should the need arise, you have provided me contact  information for you, as well as emergency contacts and notifications will be made.   

There is a yearly registration fee of $30.00. Classes are paid for at the beginning of each month.

Each student is to be prepared with a leotard and tights and proper shoes. Hair should be pulled back away from the face.

At the end of the year, the students perform in our annual recital for family and friends. Costume cost depends on size and style beginning at $75.00 and are to be paid for in 2 payments. One the first week in October and the second by the first week of December. Ask about our costume club.

Students taking 3 classes a week get a 4th class free. Monthly payments must be made by cash, check or money order. Payments must be paid by the first week of the month. Monthly Tuition is based on our annual tuition rates and divided into 10 equal payments for easy budgeting purposes.

Tuition is based on a 33 week dance year. 

All further classes are at no extra charge and are set up to cover possible snow days, instructor sick time and other emergencies.

You will not be charged for any class over the 33 weeks - these will be counted as bonus classes.
Any days missed will not be made up if there are at least 33 classes in a given dance year.  If there are not 33 classes, then a make up class will be scheduled.
Recital and rehearsal count as class time as well.
May and June Tuition are due in May. Recital tickets May not be purchased until all tuition is paid for.

Monthly Payments are September thru June. 

 Monthly payments can be made by check, money order, cash or sent directly to me, from your bank, automatically. You will receive all invoices via e-mail. Please make sure I have your correct e-mail. Payments are due by the 1st lesson of each month.  Failure to make payment by the 8th, will result in a $25 late fee.The fee for a returned check is $25.  Please make all checks payable to CAROL ELAINE DANCE STUDIO! 

 Tuition Prices are as follows and are per month:   

1 lesson a week $60

2 lessons a week (same student)  $115  

 **3 lessons a week (same student) -$165   

5 lessons a week (same student) $210  

Combination class 1 lesson a week $60  

one hour and a half Combination class (same Student)$85   

Combination class 2 lessons a week (same student) $115   

Pre-school, 1 hour $60

In order to accommodate everyone that wants a solo, duet or trio, I will be taking requests on a first come first serve basis.  Student’s who take 3 or more hours a week, will be eligible for private lessons.   Lessons are 1 half hour.  I would like to know who is interested asap as I am already putting together the June 2024 recital. Private lessons will start in January.  By starting early, the student will be able to work on technique that we are unable to work on in class.  Private lessons are for the serious student.

Private lesson cost:

Solo - $30 per half hour

Duet - $15 per student, per half hour

Trio - $10 per student, per half hour 

All Private lessons MUST be paid for in Advance!
